Can I connect the solar panel when the car is on?

All of the info I had read tells me NOT to have it connected while the vehicle is running... 

Will this charge through my power box while operating my trolling motor if it is \"not obstructing my view\"?

It will charge your power battery. But for safety reasons, the use of this solar panel is NOT recommended while a vehicle is in use. While the vehicle is in 
use, it is recommended to store the solar panel in the glove compartment or under the seat to prevent the panel from obstructing proper and safe use of the vehicle. 

Anyone have success with this on a motorcycle?

I have it on mine, seems to do the job, however its kind of long and bulky, so it doesnt easily fit in a saddlebag when not in use or when riding. 
 

Can i assume my automotive battery for my v10 ford rv (for engine starts) is at lease 20ah? in other words do i need the controller regulator with it?

If your battery capacity is higher than 20Ah, you don't need to get the solar charge controller regulator.Normally, a car battery capacity is more than 50AH.

No. this solar charger kit can't charge your 60V battery. this solar panel charger is for 12V batterries.

There is no difference UNLESS you have a foreign car that disconnects the "Power Port" when the ignition is OFF. My Subaru turns off the power port so I have to hook directly to the battery.

as long as the snow melts off of it and the sun shines it'll work fine.
