QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
Is it possible to check output voltage on this panel? I am having an issue with it supplying not enough voltage to my Anker C300 battery supply.
The solar panel is equipped with a built-in smart MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) charge controller chip, along with multiple protection mechanisms. For safety reasons, the output voltage is regulated and cannot be measured directly with a multimeter, so there is no way to check the open-circuit voltage output.
Instead, you can check the charging current when the solar panel is actively charging a compatible battery. This will provide a better indication of whether the panel is working properly.
Regarding your Anker C300 power station, please note that it already has a built-in solar charge controller, and our solar panel also has a built-in MPPT controller. Since both devices contain their own charge controllers, they are not compatible with each other for direct charging. The panel cannot provide the correct charging output to the Anker C300, even under strong sunlight.
For charging a portable power station like the Anker C300, you would need a solar panel without a built-in charge controller (a raw solar panel) and connect it to the power station's built-in solar input controller.

Will this trickle charge a battery that is in low voltage protection mode? When lithium batteries get low, the BMS sets battery output to zero but will allow charging.
Yes. In LiFePO4 mode, the BC-50W-Pro Ultra is designed with a low-voltage activation function.
When a lithium battery enters low-voltage protection and the BMS disconnects the battery output, the solar charge controller will generate a pulse voltage to help wake up the battery. Once the BMS is reactivated and allows charging, the controller will automatically begin normal charging.

Can this panel be used to charge 2x 12v deep cycle batteries that are wired in series to power a flow boat lift? If so what is the correct wiring for it. Thank you
This BC-50W-Ultra panel is designed specifically for charging 12V batteries. When you wire two 12V deep cycle batteries in series, the total voltage becomes 24V, which this panel cannot charge.
For your setup, I recommend our 50W-24V panel, which is designed for 24V batteries. You can find more details and wiring instructions here: https://sunerpower.com/products/bc-50w-24v-solar-panel-battery-charger-ultra
