QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
I currently have an SP-10A-PRO but it looks like it's no longer charging the battery. It says its waterproof. I'm thinking of replacing it with the 10amp MPPT controller. This will be installed in an electrical box outside. The box is not 100 percent waterproof. Is this an ok installation or should I stay with the SP-10A-Pro? The unit powers an electronic gate latch, so very low wattage.
The 10A MPPT charge controller is water-resistant, not fully waterproof. It will work well in your application as long as the electrical box keeps it dry and no water gets inside. If there's any chance of water entering the box, we recommend staying with the SP-10A-PRO, which is designed for better outdoor protection.

will this unit charge a battery and allow 12 volt to load at the same time day or night?
This charge controller is designed to manage battery charging only. You can connect your 12V load directly to the battery, allowing the battery to power the load day or night while the controller charges the battery whenever sufficient solar power is available.

I have a 10 AM 12v MPPT Solar charger. It keeps burning the fuse so it is not working. What would cause the fuse to fail?
A blown fuse is usually caused by a short circuit or excessive current. To help identify the cause, could you please let me know if the fuse blows immediately after connecting the charger, or after it has been connected for a while?
Also, could you please send us a photo of the wiring connection and let us know where the fuse is installed? This will help us determine what is causing the fuse to fail.
Looking forward to your reply.
