The charger LED on my BC-30W-24V Ultra solar panel does not blink constantly. Sometimes the first LED blinks 3 times then the second blinks 5 times then the first LED blinks 3 times then the second blinks 2 times. In other words the blinking is not consistent as the battery is charging. What does this mean and is it normal?
The blinking LED pattern you are noticing on your BC-30W-24V Ultra solar panel is completely normal. The blinking is an indication of the panel transitioning through different charging stages. During the bulk charging phase, when the charging speed is higher, the LED blinks in a less consistent pattern. As the panel moves into the trickle charge phase, which is a slower, more controlled charge, the blinking will often change and seem irregular.
