QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
So this charger can be connected to a trailer battery and left for weeks at a time? It\'s purpose is to keep the battery charged, right?
Yes, this has the built in battery charger and can be left on until you are ready to use your trailer. Make sure you place it where it will get the most sunlight possible.

I leave a car parked up to a month, and something has been slowly draining the battery. Will a 5 watt unit put out enough,or do I need more?
If it takes a month or more to deplete your battery then it could be normal power draws due to the built in electronics of your car and a slightly weak battery. I'd say the 12 watts will probably be enough to offset it. I had a similar situation with my 2005 Expedition. I only use that car once in a while and it sits for months at a time. The battery completely died on me so I got a new battery and a solar tender and have had no problems since. It starts right up now after sitting for extended periods.

Would you recommend this for my toy hauler that uses 2-12V batteries to maintain the batteries over the winter?
The BC-14W Solar Maintainer will maintain the 2, 12 volt batteries as long as the batteries are not connected in series, the batteries are fully charged by other means prior to connection of the solar unit, the batteries are in a good state, and there are zero draws on the batteries. Disconnect the batteries if necessary. Also, if the batteries a flooded type, please check the fluid levels often to make sure they stay at proper levels.
